Patients with diabetes have higher risks of circulation problems and nerve problems, such as blockages and neuropathy. Hence, higher risk of having wounds/ulceration and amputation.

It is important for a diabetic patient to see a foot specialist/chiropodist for a neurovascular assessment to help setting up a management plan and prevent all these risks.
